Pros: Great performance, wear, appearance and value.
Cons: Tend to tramline on cement highway corduroy.
The Bottom Line: Incredible performance from an all-season tire, even if you don't need an A/S tire. Super value, too.

| sbmellen's Full Review: Falken Ziex ZE-512 Performance Tire |
I needed to replace the Bridgestone Potenza S-02 tires on my '98 Audi A4 2.8 Quattro but didn't want to spend in excess of $200 per tire for a high performance brand (Michelin) so, I found these as a great deal through both TireRack.com and Discount Tire. I ended up getting them through Discount Tire in my neighborhood.
As many have stated, these tires have surprisingly great grip and performance for being rated an all-season tire. I live in Phoenix, Arizona, so there really isn't a need for an all-season tire, but don't tell these tires that! They don't know any better. Treadwear has been almost non-existant and I've just gotten done with the first rotation at about 10,000 miles.
The only con I feel that these tires have is that they like to "tramline" in the parrallel groves or "corduroy" that has been cut into a cement freeway surface. Really quite odd. I would attribute this to the large center groove on these tires. The car basically veers back and forth from right and to the left when this occurs. It must look like a drunk is driving my car when this occurs.
Like I said before, great tire. I'd buy these again.
