Pros: Bright; Lots of figures; Inexpensive compared with rest of line
Cons: Loud; Monkey attached; Too hard to bounce monkey
The Bottom Line: I won't tell anyone not to buy this. I just feel that Fisher Price makes a lot of other Little People toys that I would rather spend my money on.

I am a die-hard fan of the Fisher Price Little People line. My son has more sets than I care to count. This particular set caught my attention because it seemed like an incredible value for the price. I had it figured with 7 figures and a vehicle in a toy that had lots of noises for under $20. What a value! But when you take the toy out of the package, you realize that there are really only 6 figures. The monkey doesn't come off the set. You have to press down this lever and he will jump up and make noise. Well, let me rephrase that... You have to pound this lever hard enough to fear breaking the toy and he will jump up.
In spite of those issues, there are lots of fun animals, noises and songs. My son didn't give this toy a whole lot of playtime, but a younger little girl who comes to visit us frequently spent most of her time at my house playing with this particular toy.
It is a bit loud and doesn't have volume control. If the batteries wear out, it's not much fun anymore. So, keep some on hand.
Overall, I would say this is about an average toy. There is nothing spectacular about it to make me recommend it to a friend, but at the same time, there aren't really any serious problems with it and your child may love it.
