| JediKermit's Full Review: Fisher Price Little People Noah's Animals B1506 |
We bought the Fisher Price Little People Noahs Ark for Miles last April for his first birthday, and it was a hit. He loves the animals, he loves the boat, he loves everything about it, as far as I can tell. He plays with it every day, and weve had no complaints. Of course, we only understand six of his words, but none of them are anti-Noah. So when we saw that there were Expansion Packs that gave you more animals to load up into the Ark, we went for them. More specifically, I wanted them and I bought them, and told my wife after I had them home and out of the package. Semantics.
Noahs Animals 1 includes six delightfully colorful animals, male and female, two by two. Included are:
Two Leopards
Two Peacocks
Two Rhinos (each with a turtle perched on it, so technically there are eight animals
)
The male animals coloring is a little darker than the females, and the females are generally smaller and have a bit of rouge about their cheeks. I dont know who was giving the animals makeovers down in that hold for forty days and forty nights, but they did a great job.
The Leopards both have their backs arched, reminding me more of a cat rubbing up against my leg than a fierce predator; and each has their head cocked just a bit, maybe wondering what that Noah tastes like. But probably not.
The Peacock family is of course beautiful, and possibly a bit haughty; the female (Peahen, technically) is purple, with her wings fluttering up by her face; she and her mate both have yellow feet. Mr. Peacock is blue, with his green and blue feathers fanned out behind him. They (like all of the Fisher Price Little People) have holes in their feet so they can perch on various pegs on the Ark, including the roof and bow of the ship.
The Rhinos are probably the least expressive of the animals, and both male and female have horns ready to butt into the other animals. The male is dark grey, the female is light grey, and each has a tiny light green turtle atop their shoulders, going along for a ride.
These animals are great toys, with or without the Ark playset; their edges are rounded, and theyre made of plastic thats durable enough to withstand the punishment of a toddler, but soft enough that they wont bite back.
If youve got a little one thats thinking of being a zookeeper somedayor a biblical prophet looking to escape a delugeyou should look into these. Theyre great fun, inexpensive, and will last them for a lifetime of adventures.
