| bella214's Full Review: Fisher-Price PowerTouch Learning System |
I bought this a while ago and sold it to buy my son a leap pad when he turned 4 and I regret it. The power touch was great! It didn't have a pen on a cord for my son to drag it around by, and it didn't mess up the sounds or pages. It was easy to turn on and as an added bonus it had an on/off switch in back as well so it didn't get turned on accidentally when it wasn't in use. The stories were educational with plenty of fun games and learning activities on each page! It kept my son busy for hours. I was disappointed that it didn't seem to have alot of age appropriate books to go with the system though. The price of the books were steep too. However, it wasn't easily broken, the batteries didn't die quickly, and the books that were out were engaging and educational. Also the system responded appropriately to touch. What i mean is, my son didn't have to press hard or wiggle his finger around on the pad to find the right way to touch it. It worked with a gentle touch. Also, when he wanted to just hear his alphabet, he could touch the letter on the pad without a book or cartridge and it would say the letter! This was everything I expect from Fisher Price!
