Pros: Fun, quiet, good workout, EASY! Holds MP3 player.
Cons: Construction, pain to lift and move, can't fold up unless you disconnect pistons.
The Bottom Line: I recommend this product, BUT recommend shopping around. I found huge price differences. I feel it's worth it!!

| teffylynn's Full Review: FitnessQuest Tony Little Gazelle Glider Freestyle ... |
I bought my Fitness Quest Gazelle a week ago and LOVE it! Mine looks just like this and is by Fitness Quest, but doesn't have Tony Little's name on it. The official name of mine is the Fitness Quest Gazelle Supra Pro Workout Machine. I bought mine on sale from Sears.com for $199.99 ($249.99 regularly), they shipped it to my local store and I went and picked it up to save all shipping costs. I assembled it myself in an hour and had no problems with the directions and the individually labeled parts and pieces. All I needed was a screwdriver.
Since I just bought it, I don't really know about the durability of using it for an extended period of time yet, but I work out on it for an hour everyday. I'm 40 pounds over weight and do feel I get a good workout and I do sweat!.
They advertise that you can jog on this, but the foot platforms are a little far apart for me to feel comfortable doing that, but I LOVE music and fast songs and can glide, sway, and bounce with songs. Leaning back is one of the advanced workouts, so I listen to a fast song and kick forward on mine as far as I can go, then lean forward for a bit. Be careful and lean forward slowly because the back will come off the ground! Once you lean you're good, it's just the quick weight shift. It works your arms and legs pretty well if you're not in perfect shape! I agree with one of the other writers, if you don't get a good workout with this, you're not trying. Of course your not going to build muscles on the thing, common sense tells you to buy weights! This is more aerobic/cardio training than anything. It's easy to use, easy to assemble, and easy to get used to with low impact. Both of my 70 year old grandparents have tried mine. It's just a great way to get in shape, lose weight and not have to go out anywhere to a gym, in the rain, or in the dark. I feel that the pistons are more than enough resistance for what I am looking for. If they aren't, again, I feel people are looking for a total gym at home. Wrong equipment.
Treadmills killed my lower back and my shins. In fact I have a $600 treadmill in my garage that my husband now uses, and I get a better workout on this. This is a great way to build stamina and to lose weight because it's fun!
I have noticed that even after a week mine seems to make more noise than it did when I first put it together, but it's nothing a little grease won't fix. I'm hard on mine to get the best workout I can get out of it. Since there's no motor, it's pretty quiet. I can workout at any time, not wake people in the house, can hear my TV or music over it, can talk over it, etc. I love mine! If it breaks in a couple years, I'll buy a new one! It's cheaper than a gym membership every month or a diet program and WAY more convenient at home!!
