I bought this unit as a present for my 2 cats last Christmas. They didn't like drinking out of their bowl, so we had to keep a cup full in the bathroom floor. I got tired of knocking it over in the middle of the night and thought that this unit would be a good way to keep fresh water for my cats.
The unit contains the bowl, reservoir, pump and 2 filters. The charcoal filters keep the water clean and the pump recirculates it through the filter to clean it and keep it cool.
This product is very well loved in my family. The cats love to drink the cool fresh water that this unit provides and my youngest cat likes to drink directly from the stream of water.
It is a very well made unit that is easy to take apart and clean when necessary. It is very quiet and isn't even noticeable sitting next to our bed in the middle of the night.
The only downside at all is that it tends to build up mildew in the cracks where the "waterfall" piece comes into contact with the bowl. And you have to buy replacement filters. The unit will however work without filters if you need it to in a pinch. And as for the mildew, it cleans very easily and is easily disassembled and reassembled.
