Pros: Environmentally friendly, great customer service, cute
Cons: Expensive, cumbersome
The Bottom Line: G Diapers are great if you have time to work with them and can afford them. If they lowered the price significantly, I would give them a much better rating.

I've been using G Diapers for about a month. I applaud their efforts to design an eco diaper (if such a thing can exist), but there are definitely some problems with them.
Ease of use: The covers are very cute and soft. Using them, however, is a bit cumbersome. I am using size 2 and the disposable part seems very big for the insert. It takes me a while to get it in place. Since I change 10-12 diapers per day, the extra time matters.
Price: The price is very high. By buying bulk, I can get the diapers for $.40 per diaper. In contrast, I can buy Nature's Babycare diapers for $.26 per diaper and they are easier to use and environmentally friendly. I'm concerned that being environmentally friendly costs so much. A company that is committed to the environment should work hard to reduce the price so that more people could afford them.
Environmental impact: Composting is a great idea and it is hard to beat that, environmentally speaking. I tried putting some in the compost and I'll check them in 3-4 months to see what state they are in. I also love that the disposable part is not made of plastic. The only problem with that is that you will have a lot of compost if you compost all of them. Flushing uses water and the water has to be treated and that takes energy. Therefore, flushing the diapers isn't completely environmentally friendly, especially when you have to flush twice as I've read about from some users. Also, many cities have water quantity issues and flushing may not be the best choice for people in those communities.
