| my2girls's Full Review: Gerber Tender Harvest Baby Food |
In a perfect world I would make all my own baby food. I have thought about it, I even have the grinder. But the reality is I don't and I purchase jarred food for my baby. My first daughter also grew up on jarred food and is healthy as a horse. One of my favorite brands to buy is Tender Harvest by Gerber.
Tender Harvest is made with organically grown fruits and vegetables. This makes me feel like I am doing the next best thing to making my own food. The ingredients on a typical jar will read "Organic pears, organic winter squash and water". No additives or chemicals. Sounds good to me!
And they taste great! I taste everything that goes into my daughter's mouth. I want to have a little taste to see what I am giving her. Let me tell you this baby food tastes so good! It really is yummy! Especially the fruits! What I like most about this brand is the wonderful combinations they use. No boring, blah meals for my girl! She enjoys Pears with Winter Squash, Vegetable Pilaf, Carrots with Brown Rice, Butternut Squash with Corn, Banana Blueberry and Green Beans with Potatoes.
You will pay a bit more for these than the regular Gerber line of baby foods but I think it is worth it. The combinations are wonderful, tasty and offer some excitement for your baby's tastebuds! I would wait till they are used to eating solid foods and have tried single fruits and vegetables with no allergic reactions though since almost all of the Tender Harvest are combinations.
