| chrissamdog's Full Review: Graco Neat Seat High Chair 3656 |
We bought the Graco High chair about 6 month's before our son was even born. Mainly because a friend of ours has one and she can't say enough about it.
The chair is very light weight with wheels to make it very easy to move from room to room. My favorite feature is definitely the wheels because lil Cody isn't so little anymore and moving him around in the chair would be quite the chore. All four wheels have a break on them, so if one or two isn't on it will still stay in place. The best part as far as safety goes is definitely the straps. Many high chairs that I have seen only go over the waist but this has a shoulder strap as well. He is snug as a bug in a rug in this chair.
The removable cover is washable and will need to be washed quite often since lil ones aren't the neatest eaters, but it does remove rather easy and washes very nice(no wrinkles) so it looks good right out of the dryer. The straps are very secure and easy to use. I feel very comfortable leaving him in the chair compared to the chairs you use at restaurants where I feel I need to be ready to catch him at anytime. I would never leave him in the room alone but to get up or take your eye off of him I feel safe in doing so.
It was very simple to put together. It took me about 15-20 minutes. Once you get use to putting the straps together it's a real piece of cake. Mt wife did have a lil trouble with it at first but after a couple of times she got the hang of it.
The chair is rather large and takes up a fair share of space, but lil Cody loves it being so bit. He isn't cramped at all in it. The tray is huge and it also has a special lil section for a drink or a treat(Cody likes to park his lil truck there while he eats).
The seat also reclines and has 5 different height positions for him to grow into. He is 22 pounds now and still has so much more room to grow into it. We will be raising the straps up any day now seeings how it is getting a lil snug for him.
One bad thing about the High chair is that it is so bulky that you really can't take it anywhere with you unless you were to take it apart or own a truck. Although most restaurants have high chairs, not all in-laws have them for you. I have gotten used to feeding the lil guy on my lap though.
