We picked this little gem up for $5 at a neighborhood yard sale and couldn't be more pleased with it. Our daughter refused to sit in the folding plastic booster seats and restaurant high chairs starting at about 7 months old, so my husband and I who like to dine out often were posed with a difficult situation, a baby who would do nothing but scream in crowded restaurants. That was before we stumbled across this booster seat. It solved our problems instantly. Our baby was happy because she was able to sit on the same level as us when we dined out, and we were happy because we could eat in peace.
The model we have has a removable tray which allowed our baby to eat off a clean surface and not a dirty restaurant table. We loved that we always had a clean seat for our baby when we went out, and we were especially pleased that we didn't have to fiddle with straps to secure the seat to a chair.
The booster easily hooks on to most tables that are less than 5 inches thick (aprons can prevent the seat from being able to attach, we have one table that it works on and on that it doesn't). You cannot use this booster on glass tables or tables that have tablecloths. It is also recommended that you do not put a chair beneath the booster seat as it may injure your child in the event of a fall. To remove the booster you just depress a latch on the back of the seat and it releases from the table. To fold the seat, all you do is push a little button and it folds nearly flat. The booster is easily transported.
We were able to use this seat from about 7mos to 14 mos, after that our child was no longer willing to sit in any baby seats. For other children the booster may be acceptable for a longer period of time.
