Coffee is a beverage I have grown to like and the main reason for my newfound acceptance of this beverage is the popularity of flavored coffees. I have never liked the taste of regular coffee due to its bitterness and other factors, but I love many of the different flavored brews. One that I have tried and enjoyed is Green Mountain Mocha Fudge Nut, a delicious hot beverage treat.
Basic Facts About This Coffee:
Brown in color, Green Mountain Mocha Fudge Nut is easily distinguished from other coffees due to its aroma. The scent is chocolaty more than anything and the scent is very enticing. There is some underlying roasted coffee, but the aroma is generally that of chocolate.
Green Mountain Mocha Fudge Nut offers a flavor that delivers what its name promises: chocolate, coffee, and nuts. This is expected, but there are some other flavors also, like that of caramel and a touch of toffee. The coffee character in this product is faint, mainly because the taste of chocolate, nuts, caramel, etc., cover up the taste of the coffee. It is intended to smell/taste like a piece of homemade fudge.
Green Mountain Mocha Fudge Nut is made from 100 percent pure Arabica coffee and its flavor is sweet overall. There is certainly no need for added sweetener, but some flavored creamers taste good with this coffee. French vanilla creamer is one good example.
Nutritional Information:
Green Mountain Mocha Fudge Nut contains some anti- oxidants, like other coffees. But there is no nutritional value whatsoever. There are no significant amounts of any vitamin or mineral, and the coffee contains no protein, carbs, fat, or calories.
Final Thoughts:
Green Mountain Mocha Fudge Nut coffee is one of several different flavors of coffee that I consume in a given week. My workplace is now home to a Keurig Coffee Maker, which is a special type of coffee maker that brews coffee one cup at a time using a small, plastic container filled with coffee or tea. This type of coffee maker allows people to choose exactly the type of coffee they like without having to drink from a common pot. Green Mountain makes many different flavors of coffee that are packaged in these small containers known as K- Cups. Green Mountain Mocha Fudge Nut coffee is one of several that is offered in these small packages and I drink several cups every week.
Green Mountain Mocha Fudge Nut coffee is a tasty coffee and it offers natural sweetness that needs no additional ingredients. Some people go ahead and add sugar and/or creamer but these are really not necessary. The flavor is already on the sweet side and the taste of chocolate, caramel, and other ingredients contribute to a dessert- like flavor that goes well with sweet foods or all by itself. I like to drink mine solo, but I have found that this product is very tasty with donuts. The combination of flavors is naturally accommodating.
Due to the sweetness level of Green Mountain Mocha Fudge Nut coffee, I tend to limit myself to only a couple of cups per day. I like the taste very much, but I find that it gets to be too much after a while- too much chocolate taste in a hot beverage. I love chocolate more than most people, but even I have my limits and two cups of Green Mountain Mocha Fudge Nut coffee at a time is sufficient.
As far as the body of Green Mountain Mocha Fudge Nut coffee goes, this coffee is not as super- rich as you might first believe. Yes, it is chocolaty and yes, it tastes like a dessert. But Green Mountain achieved a good deal of balance with this coffee and they kept it medium in body so that its taste wouldnt overwhelm the senses. It seems just about right for this type of taste. Add a little more body and the coffee would be too much like eating an actual dessert.
Overall, Green Mountain Mocha Fudge Nut coffee is a very good tasting flavored coffee from Green Mountain. I have sampled only the K- Cup variety, but I know this coffee is offered in other packages as well and it can be purchased in whole- bean form for grinding and making a full pot. It is a very tasty little dessert coffee and the taste is great for those who are confessed chocoholics.
