Pros: Light, cheap
Cons: Junk. Locks up. Gets hot. Modem doesn't work. Not dependable.
The Bottom Line: HP service is terrible. Computer is junk. Don't buy it if you need a dependable computer. HP is the absolute worst

The computer locks up all the time for no reason and the battery has to be taken out to reset it. The modem only works part of the time. The LCD cracked for no apparent reason (the computer stays on a desk as a desk top replacement) -- when I shipped it to HP for repairs, they told me the LCD wasn't covered under warranty and would cost $649 to fix -- almost the cost of a new computer. When I couldn't pay for the repair, (I'm a graduate student on a limited income) they told me that my warranty would then be voided and that they would not repair any of the other problems. DON'T BUY HP!!!
Note: Obviously the raters don't want you to see negative information as this review has only been rated somewhat helpful. I would definitely want to see this if I were contemplating purchasing this item.
