| tlb7263's Full Review: harman/kardon AVR 220 5.1 Channels Receiver |
My first introduction to Harman Kardon Audio Video Receivers was an AVR35 Dolby Pro-Logic receiver. I was hooked. It had more headroom and less distortion than other receivers I have owned with much higher power ratings. The AVR 220 is a great receiver. Sure it doesn't have 6.1 or 7.1 deccoding, but I don't have the room for all those speakers. This receiver coupled with my Infinity HTS-20 speaker package and Velodyne CHT-12 powered sub-woofer give me the feel of a true theater experience. This is an excellent product and I purchased it off the harmanaudio website (www.harmanaudio.com)} for under $250.00. If you must have all the newer decodings in your receiver (Dolby Digital EX, DTS-ES) do yourself a favor and opt for the newer Haman Kardon AVR models. Harman Kardon has made a believer out of me and everyone who experiences my home theater system.
