| mosesrocket's Full Review: Harpoon Munich Dark |
Harpoon's Munich style Dark lager is a well balanced beer. This dark beer does not have an aggressive roasted taste, no coffee or burnt flavor, but has a delicious dark malty flavor, with the right balance of hops, not overly bitter. A great dark beer that will convert those who say they don't like dark beer. It has a delightful flavor - and flavor it what is missing from most American beers. The only drawback is the cost of $7.99 a six-pack, but that may have been influenced by the fancy Connecticut upscale store where it was purchased. This beer goes well with spicy chinese food as well as smokey roast turkey from the barbeque grill. The Harpoons labels are very nice and attractive too.
