Pros: Nicely detailed, one of the mysterious Jedi
Cons: Not so well known, at least not yet.
The Bottom Line: Probably not part of the essential collection. Get some of the cooler, or better know characters first. Still a nicely done figure.

| some_guy5's Full Review: Hasbro Star Wars Episode III Aayla Secura Action F... |
Aayla Secura is a Jedi Knight. Like many of the Jedi figures, she hasn't had too big of a role so far. Mostly they are the nameless people sitting around in the Jedi Council, or part of the nameless mass of Jedi who journey to Geonosis to battle the separatist forces and save Obi Wan and Anakin. Will she have a bigger role in Revenge of the Sith? I do hope. More on that below.
Aayla Secura is part of collection number 2 in the Revenge of the Sith series. She also remains safely secured inside the package. Figure number 32, Aayla Secura is another purchase motivated by the fact that there didn't seem to be very many of her at the store. I opted to buy her ahead of many more well-known figures just based on the fact that I figured I could easily buy them later. As with all of these figures, they are not recommended for children under the age of four because the small pieces can be a choking hazard.
The text in this paragraph will be common throughout all of my reviews of Star Wars Episode III basic characters. As far as the durability of these figures, well I don't open them. But I did open some from Episode I and I can tell you from past experience that the small weapons and accessories will get lost. As a boy I tried so hard to keep track of them and just failed. Slowly but surely the guns and lightsabers disappeared. By and large the figures are durable. The heads can be popped off by abuse or a determined push, and the hands can be chewed until they no longer function. That is my best guess as to how well this series will hold up.
Aayla Secura stands 3.75 inches tall. She is dressed like a dancer. She wears skin tight brown pants, and a brown halter top (maybe, I am guessing since I don't know exactly what that is) with only one sleeve and that does not cover the belly. It sort of looks like a sports bra with a sleeve on one side. Her boots even have some heel. I guess that is fighting wear in some galaxies. She looks a bit like someone took Jabba's green dancer, painted her blue, and gave her a light saber. Aayla Secura has two tentacle like things in place of hair, also like Jabba's green dancer. She has joints at the shoulders, near one of the elbows, and at both knees. Aayla Secura sports a terrain base for standing her up securely and helping you to set the mood from the movies. These figures seem to either come with a terrain base, or some sort of signature move like slashing attack, or quick draw action. Her face is nicely detailed and looks remarkably like the photographic picture on the box. These figures have come a long, long way since the days of A New Hope. Back in the day it was just called Star Wars.
Aayla Secura hasn't done much of note in the movies to this point. However, the box comes with a nice little tidbit of info that promises more action out of her in the movie soon to come. The info from the box is below.....
Aayla Secura is an empathic and highly intelligent Jedi Knight with impressive fighting skills. During the Clone Wars, she leads a battalion of clone troopers against the Separatist forces on the planet Felucia.
At least we get a little sneak preview of what is to come in the next movie. I didn't even know there was a planet Felucia. You are never too old to learn something, or buy toys I guess.
Aayla Secura isn't one of your more noteworthy figures from the movies so far. Without having seen Revenge of the Sith I can't tell if she is about to become essential. At this point I say buy her near the bottom of your collection. If you are trying to collect them all, or are going for all the Jedi then by all means make the purchase. I am curious to see how well our Jedi/dancer does for herself in the final movie.
