Pros: Major figure. Purple lightsaber.
Cons: I don't think his face is as accurate as the other figures have been
The Bottom Line: If you want the major players you are going to have to get Mace.

Mace Windu is one of the more important Jedi figures in the recent movies. After reviewing what seems like a dozen different Jedi who have yet to even have a line in the movies I finally get to write about on that does stuff, and speaks.
Mace Windu is figure number 10 and a member of the collection number 1 in the Revenge of the Sith series. Mace Windu is one of the easier to find figures but I have chosen to leave him, with all of his fellow figures, safely in his package. Mace Windu is not recommended for children under the age of four because the small pieces can be a choking hazard. As far as the durability of this series of figures, well I don't open them. But I did open some from Episode I and I can tell you from past experience that the small weapons and accessories will get lost. As a boy I tried so hard to keep track of them and just failed. Slowly but surely the guns and lightsabers disappeared. By and large the figures are durable. The heads can be popped off by abuse or a determined push (for those with heads that rotate), and the hands can be chewed until they no longer function. That is my best guess as to how well this series will hold up.
As a basic figure Mace Windu is 3.75 inches tall. I would say this looks like one of the more fun figures. For starters, he has a special action move. He has this ring of force lightning that you lay over his shoulders. When you squeeze his legs together he spins and throws off the lightning. Could that be a hint to what happens in the movie? We know he confronts Palpatine. Mace Windu's likeness is average. The face of the figure does look similar to the photos on the box, but not as much as most of the others I have reviewed. I am not trying to say he looks bad, just not up to the usual high standard. Mace Windu is wearing off-white colored robes made of molded plastic. His robes come down to the knees, and he has lighter colored leggings underneath. Mace Windu wears dark brown boots and a dark brown belt. As a Jedi, Mace Windu also has a lightsaber, but his is special. The Jedi always have green or blue lightsabers and the Sith always seem to have red. Mace Windu carries a violet or purple colored lightsaber (ooh pretty colors). This figure has joints at the shoulders, elbows, wrists, and waste.
Mace Windu figured in a big way at the arena battle on Geonosis. He confronted Count Dooku only to be chased off the platform by some Super Battle Droids and Jango Fett. He then preceded to pay back Jango Fett by beheading him and destroying a bunch of droids. Mace Windu's role in the next movie is previewed on the box...
Mace Windu is a courageous fighter and respected member of the Jedi Council. In a desperate attempt to save the galaxy, Mace leads a daring confrontation against Supreme Chancellor Palpatine.
From the trailer it looks like he brings chums to help him too. Not to spoil it for you, but um, they don't win.
Mace Windu is probably my favorite of the second tier Jedi, below the major ones like Yoda, Anakin, and Obi Wan. He has a big role in the movies so he is good to collect or play with. I recommend him.
