The Bottom Line: An up and coming character, only the next movie can tell us how exciting she will be. The figure is nicely detailed.

Mon Mothma is a Republic Senator, who is less than happy with Supreme Chancellor Palpatine's growing power. She was actually a major figure during the rebellion (from the Empire, not the one going on now from the Republic), but you wouldn't have known it from Episodes IV - VI. I am not even sure they said her name in those movies even though she was in plenty of scenes and running the show a lot of the time. Mon Mothma looks to have a bigger role in Revenge of the Sith.
Mon Mothma is figure number 24 and another member of collection number 2 in the Revenge of the Sith series, and like all my others still in the box. As a boy, I wouldn't have wanted this figure at all, because ew girls. The female figures were only useful so that you could give one to a girl if they wanted to play Start Wars with you. Now, she is another cog in my wheel of Star Wars collecting. As with all of these figures, they are not recommended for children under the age of four because the small pieces can be a choking hazard.
The text in this paragraph will be common throughout all of my reviews of Star Wars Episode III basic characters. As far as the durability of these figures, well I don't open them. But I did open some from Episode I and I can tell you from past experience that the small weapons and accessories will get lost. As a boy I tried so hard to keep track of them and just failed. Slowly but surely the guns and lightsabers disappeared. By and large the figures are durable. The heads can be popped off by abuse or a determined push, and the hands can be chewed until they no longer function. That is my best guess as to how well this series will hold up.
The more youthful version of her Episodes IV - VI self, Mon Mothma stands 3.75 inches tall. She has red hair and a light complexion. She has flowing white robes with a high collar and droopy, billowy sleeves. These robes are made from molded plastic, with no cloth pieces. Her robes are adorned with silver chains and she comes with a removable tiara, also in silver. Mon Mothma has joints at her shoulders, elbows, and waste. In place of a weapon, she looks to have some sort of scepter. Mon Mothma does not have a signature move, but if she did it would probably be talking reasonably to people. Mon Mothma does have a terrain base. Her base appears to be a piece of a building or spaceship. The detail on the face is remarkable, as I have come to expect on all the characters that actually have faces, instead of helmets or robot heads in this Revenge of the Sith series. The details on her face closely resemble the photos included on the box. Additionally her complexion is accurately reflected. I have another figure whose picture is dark complected, but whose figure is as fare as can be. Overall I would say Mon Mothma is one of the more boring figures, white robes, no weapons, never really seen her before, etc.
I am guessing since she now has a figure she is about to make a pretty big debut. I don't know that much about her, but here is what the box has to say...
A member of the Galactic Senate, Mon Mothma is troubled by the expanding power of Supreme Chancellor Palpatine. She secretly begins to assemble groups that will eventually become the Rebel Alliance.
So we are introduced to the birth of the Rebel Alliance. This rebellion is going last a while since Luke still has to be born and grow up before everything gets brought to a conclusion.
I bought Mon Mothma because there weren't so many of her on the shelves. On the list of desirable figure I would rank her near the bottom. If you are looking to collect them all I would recommend you buy her. Otherwise? Well maybe she will end up being very interesting in Revenge of the Sith.
