voodoo3475's Full Review: You Don't Know Jack Vol. 4 - The Ride for Windows,...
OK I've been a fan of the You Don't Know Jack series for a couple of years and have played most if not all of them. This one happens to be my favorite just because there are 4 hosts, over 800 questions, and it's extremely funny humor.
Gameplay
Simple gameplay. Anybody who has never played before has the option of having a tutorial for every single type of special modes. Such as Roadkill, Jack Attack, Gibberish, and so on. You get this option every single time you play just incase you have a friend playing that has never played before. Up to 3 people can play.
These aren't simple questions though. Depending on how much money you get for the question (lower easier, higher, harder). The questions are something completely out of the ordinary. All questions are categorized into floors and each floor has an amount of money which you pick and a topic/question for each amount.
Here's a question I got from the 274th Floor, the topic was Pharmacy, the amount of money was $3,997, and the question title was I'd Like to Make a Pharmaceutical Withdraw.
What bank are you most likely to make a "suppository" deposit:
1.Federal Savings and Tropical Cream
2.First Bank of the Painful Injection
3.National Bank of the Anus
4.Credit Union of the Mouth
The correct answer was 3.National Bank of the Anus. I wanted a more appropriate question but this was the first one I got.
Something worth mentioning was while I was in the "elevator" where you type in all the info (how many people are playing, name, etc.) today was Labor Day. The lady that asks you the questions had said, "Since today is Labor Day, and the elevator stops, just pry the doors open," or something like that. Also if you just sit there while the lady asks for your name, if you just sit there and don't type anything the lady will give a name for you. Like today I didn't type in my name and my name became RX (Pharmacy).
Sound
Excellent sound/voiceovers. Crisp and clear, and funny too. Like once for instance there was a question about liquor, and the host said you don't mind if I have a drink. He has a few drinks and eventually vomits. Fortunatly you see NONE of this. As for that theres not much other sounds besides the buzzer and getting a question right or wrong.
Graphics
It's a gameshow game do you expect graphics like Bungie's Halo???? No these are simple graphics with nothing out of the ordinary. This is the least to be said about.
Well then...
Well with all of that said I'm all happy. You Don't Know Jack: The Ride is a game for just about anyone who wants a good laugh. I recommend this game or any of the other ones but this one seems to be the best. This game IS best played with more than one person.
