great location, ok hotel, noisy mornings!

This so-called personality hotel has its own modern style which I was quite excited about. However, its facilities looks cool but sucks in usability. The worst is the shower controls. You have to spend like 5 minutes to figure out how the knobs actually work because they were designed to just be looked at and not for use! The trash cans are so skinny that you can barely put trash in.
The hotel's location is pretty good. It's about 3 blocks from Union Square and is near major theaters and nightlife. However, there are some bums around. The hotel's front desk are snobby as described in previous reviews.
My biggest pet-peeve about this hotel is that they start cleaning at like 8am in the morning and has woken me up several times. Vicious vacuuming and tons of rambling noise early at 8am sure wouldn't make as travelers happy.
Overall, I think this hotel has some learning to do about how to run a hotel business.
