| ooashybabeoo's Full Review: Diva Hotel |
My boyfriend and I made a recent trip to California to visit friends located in Los Angeles. We decided that we should make a trip up to San Francisco. With that being said, we wanted to stay overnight and we needed to find a decently priced hotel. I came across Hotel Diva through Expedia/Priceline, whichever one. It looked very modern and something that caught my eye. Once we arrived to San Francisco, it was so hard to find a parking spot. There is basically no where outside the hotel to park expect alongside the street. Even then, some parking spaces is $2 for 20 minutes. Now that was just ridiculous! We finally found a garage to park in for about an hour that was about a block or two away. We walked into the Hotel and was pleasantly surprised to the decor, it fit us so well. The lady at the desk seemed to be nice a welcoming. We were able to check in without a problem. We arrived to our room and it was a nice little space. They are a little small but it was ok for the two of us. I didn't like the fact that the sink was outside the bathroom, facing the bed. The TV was an LG and was excellent. We were able to use the complimentary WIFI they provide which was very helpful for us. Towards nightfall, we decided to walk across the street to get some snacks from Walgreens. There are A LOT of homeless people around and it freaked me out. I was so scared that they would take my purse or something so I just left it behind in our hotel room. I mean, the homeless man outside Walgreens was really nice, but I just feel bad when I can't provide them with some spare change. San Francisco is covered with homeless people I came to realization. Overall, Hotel Diva was a pleasant stay for both my boyfriend and I. We enjoyed ourselves and really have no reason to complain. Another excellent addition to this Hotel is the door on the main floor leading into the next door Starbucks. I was tempted to go the whole time we were there but decided against it.
Oh yes, and overnight we had to park in a parking garage (with in and out privileges,) for $30. I guess that isn't too bad, but that's $30 more than I expected to pay.
