| bonniesayers's Full Review: Huggies Supreme Care Baby Wipes |
For many years I have been a devoted to the Huggies brand of wipes and diapers. Due to many wipes on the market containing lanolin I started with the Natural Care in the Huggies line of baby wipes. These companies are always updating their packaging and changing the look and texture of these wipes. The Huggies Supreme Care® have the Ripple-soft® texture that Cleans like a Washcloth®. They are no longer in a red container as the photo provided depicts, but a white tub and white refillable package.
The tub container has 64 wipes with the resealable refill plastic bag containing 144 wipes. This is a different amount compared to their Natural Care wipes that contain 80 in the green tub and 160 in the refill package. I find I am purchasing the same number of tubs and refills since switching over to Huggies Supreme Care®. The tubs can be purchased at Rite-Aid for $3.99 with the refills at $6.99. I often find the refill packages selling at Big Lots for $3.99 and load up on them each visit.
The first difference in using the white tubs of the Huggies Supreme Care® is that the lid to the container can be moved back without breaking or falling off. I find this useful since I always open a couple of wipes before changing my son. Then I can place the lid back on and seal it on the tab at the middle of the container. With a lift of one finger the tab is easy to open.
The wipes are not overly wet or moist, just absolutely perfect each and every one all the way down to the last wipe in the container. They are folded with three indents to form into the container measuring about 7 ½ x 7 ½. These are larger than many of the other brands on the market today and have no scent with little teddy bears on each wipe. There are roughly ten of these cute bears on each wipe and not distracting to the wipee or wiper.
The wipes are easy to remove from the container and also the refill package to fill up the tub when empty. They are overlapping in a nice neat pile. These are the softest wipes I have ever touched. The lid needs to be kept on tight and stored at room temperature. Also try visiting their website to sign up your child and receive frequent mailings with coupons and contests. You will find one point on the back of each tub and three points on the refill packages.
Directions on the packages are in English, Spanish and French with addresses to write them for U.S. and Canadian citizens. The phone number for customer service is available weekdays from 8 am 4 pm in the central-time zone at 1-800-558-9177. The ingredients in this plush baby wipe consist of water, potassium laureth phosphate, aloe barbademis, glycerin, polysorbate 20, tetrasodium EDTA, DMDM hydantoin, methyl paraben, malic acid. Huggies is also a sponsor of www.parentstages.com. The plastic bags are to be kept away from babies due to the risk of suffocation. The tubs can be used when empty and cleaned out for storing crayons, markers, coupons or arts and crafts. These are not to be used in toilets. I always keep a stash folded in a plastic baggie for when we are on the road and need to clean faces or hands.
The intended use for baby wipes is to clean the backside of a baby, infant, toddler or those who are still in diapers. These clean with ease on my son without having to use too many each time. There is no soapy feeling or wetness coming from the diapers and being left on childs skin. They are soft and soothing for my sensitive skin and work on removing the messiest remains in sheer seconds. They are tossed out into the garbage in a plastic bag with the diaper.
The tubs have a plastic overwrap that is easy to remove. The plastic refill containers are easy to tear at the perforation and then seal along the zipper folding to keep air tight for storing.
