Pros: hose seems to be well made

The Bottom Line: The idea is a good one, but the execution is way flawed.

| AliventiAsylum's Full Review: Indoor Hose with Sprayer |
With a 37 gallon aquarium in my home, adding water and doing water changes can be a headache. I was looking for something that would make it easier to get the water from my tap to the tank. I’d seen indoor hoses before, and when I saw this indoor hose online from Amazon, I thought I had a perfect solution.
The hose comes with an adapter at one end that attaches to most faucets. In the case of ours, I had to unscrew part of the faucet to attach the hose - no big deal. The hose is very lone - 38 feet - so it theoretically could be used all over the house. It was way longer than what I needed, but you never know what sort of uses I might find for it. The other end has a plastic sprayer nozzle that operates on a lever that you squeeze and the water should squirt out.
Theoretically.
The first time I attached the hose to the sink and turned it on, I had an issue with water running outside the coupling at the sink. There was literally no pressure at the sprayer end. I ended up adding another washer to the coupling and then it was find, on that end. It won’t work with all faucets, that much was obvious when I took it out and looked at it.
However, now it was leaking at the sprayer end. I don’t mean just a few drips, I mean a lot. It was enough that I couldn’t take it across the floor without making a puddle. It does appear to be leaking at the coupling where the hose joins the sprayer nozzle, so it’s likely another washer or some other way to seal it would help. Unfortunately, there doesn’t seem to be any way to take this apart without breaking it.
I have tried to use it a few times, always with the same result. When I depress the lever to activate the spray, the leaking abates enough that it functions. However, when I don’t want water coming out of the prayer, it ends up coming out of the coupling. I put the sprayer by the fish tank a couple of times before turning it on, thus keeping the leaking coupling over the tank. This is the only way I have been able to use it without creating a mess all over the house.
When it does work, the prayer gives a nice spray. I found it hard to regulate the pressure, partly because of the leaking, and only really was able to regulate the stream by adjusting the water flow at the sink rather than not pressing the lever all the way.
However, during my two recent water changes to the aquarium, I just didn’t bother as it was too much trouble. It’s probably headed for the garbage can. The idea is good, this product just happens to be poorly made.
