Pros: Nice, clear sounding speakers which are much better than others on the market.
Cons: Size may be an issue (magnet), need long 'break in' period, as well as amp.
The Bottom Line: For a basic upgrade, you wont go wrong, but an amp would really make these baby's sing.

| mr_wood's Full Review: Infinity Reference 452i Coaxial Car Speaker |
I purchased a set of these little baby's for my girlfriends car. Since i have had fantastic results with the 652i's, i thought that i'll stay with the reference line and chose these.
They are mounted in the doors, and run off the HU.
The speakers themselfs have a 35RMS rating, and have an impressive, if slightly large build. They are also pretty heavy, so make sure the door build is ok to hold them.
The mids have a butyl rubber surround, and the tweet's are silk dome type, non-swivel attachment (due to small size), and sing v.well.
Once installed, the difference in quality was impressive. Since they are running off a HU they wont go too loud, but i believe that they should 'loosen' up over time. The bass is not fantastic, but what do you expect for a 4" speaker?
For mid's (100hz+) and highs, you wont go wrong with a set of these. However, i would say that an amp would really bring these little baby's to life.
