I have been using wireless headphones for 6 years. The set from Radio Shack, RFH-80, lasted a long time until I dropped them once too many times. I got the new JVC from ecost.com at $57, but have returned them as being totally substandard.
Supposedly has 2 channels, but 1 had no reception at all. There is no way to tune the signal. (Supposedly has an auto tuning circuit). Could not use it at my normal distance of about 12 feet without twisting my head to an uncomfortable position.
Good things:
- lightweight
- fairly comfortable
- good battery life
- on/off automatic (built into head strap)
- Bass and WOW circuits for music enhancement
Bad things:
- Poor reception
- No tuning (auto doesn't cut it)
- Pretty good inside 6 feet (computer use OK)
- signal dropout
- much static at normal distance.
Recommended:
No
