I've been using this conditioner along with the KMS daily repair shampoo since 2001. My hairdresser first recommended it to me after I went to another hairdresser while I was in another state and got a very hair-damaging perm. That, coupled with a few months of hard water and moisture-stripping shampoos left me with a bird's nest of brittle, ugly, and unmanageable hair. My hairdresser told me that he'd never seen hair in such bad shape. He recommended that I use the KMS brand Daily Repair line (it was called KMS NEFA back then) to get my hair back to workable.
I tried them, and within a week my hair was manageable once again. Even though I have very fine hair, the shampoo and conditioner did not weigh my hair down. Instead, it gave it the moisture it needed to look more alive, especially in the dry winter air. With a little bit of mousse applied at the hair base, styling was easy and my hair had volume.
Normal application rate: I use the shampoo daily, but I normally only use the conditioner once or twice a week. I try to only apply a tiny amount of the conditioner to the ends of my hair, since that's the part that needs it the most. Usually I rinse, but during dry winter weather I sometimes leave a tiny amount on my hair.
Damaged hair intensive application: When I was first introduced to the conditioner when my hair was very damaged, I used a different technique. After washing, I massaged a generous amount of the conditioner (probably two tbsp into short hair) and combed through with a wide-tooth comb. Then I wrapped my hair in a soft towel and slept with the conditioner in. In the morning, I rinsed and styled as usual.
Baby's Hair: I also use this conditioner every time I wash my toddler's hair. Her hair is extremely fine and prone to becoming dried-out and wispy. After using standard baby shampoo on her hair for a while, I noticed the baby shampoo would leave her hair in an awful condition. She would also get dry, flaky skin on her scalp. Now I only use the daily repair shampoo on her, and the conditioner every time. This product is the only way I can keep her hair soft and manageable and her scalp flake-free.
Scent: The scent is very exotic and attractive. It's labeled as an "orange clove" fragrance, though I think I smell hints of ginger as well. I guess if you don't like some of these spices, it may be a turn-off, but I love them. So long as you're only using a little bit on your hair, the scent of the conditioner is barely noticeable. In my case, the shampoo is the lingering aroma. BTW, the scent combines well with the corresponding "pina colada" scented shampoo.

Texture and Appearance: Off-white/orange and extremely thick. This is so thick in fact that it does not work well in my wall-mounted soap/shampoo dispensers. I now leave the reconstructor conditioner in the original bottle and use it from there.

UPDATE I suspect that KMS has either discontinued this item or changed the name again, this time to "KMS Moist Repair" in a blue-accented bottle. Most likely it is discontinued (since the new "Moist Repair" is based on aloe and vanilla, so the current stock of KMS Daily Repair is the last that will be available.
