| bigwood's Full Review: Kashi GoLEAN Plus: Man |
My wife and I enjoy Kashi products. The Go Lean shakes are good to use as a meal replacement. Whenever I want to lose a few pounds I replace my lunch with Go Lean, and drink lots of water. I usually eat some fruit and a granola bar in the morning, then a Go Lean for lunch. I have tried slim fast in the cans, but they always leave me hungry. I find that the Kashi's are more filling and I think they are healthier. The only thing I don't like about the Go Lean is that it has to be mixed right before you use it. I made that mistake once. I mixed it in the morning, and by lunch it was globs going down my throat. It also takes a good amount of shaking to really mix the product well. The package says to use Fruit juice, skim milk, rice or soy beverage to mix with it. I have always used 1% milk and it works well. The flavor is really plain. It is not offensive and does not have that chemical taste other product have. It is low in fat and high in protein and dietary fiber.
Each Sering contains:
1 g of fat (before added beverage)
0 Cholesterol
135 mg Sodium
34 g Carbs
23 g Sugar
30 g protein
The protein source is Whey protein Isolate. There is also added Creatine Monohydrate, saw palmetto, and panax ginseng.
I guess it is wise to consult a doctor before consuming these herbs. Overall I would recommend this product to anyone trying to lose a few pounds. Some people combine the Go Leans with the Kashi cereal. I am a strong believer in water. I drink 100-150 ounces a day. If you are looking for a slim fast type diet try Go Lean. I believe it is a superior product. They sell for about $12-14 for seven servings. You can find them in most grocery stores or their website (Kashi.com). They have two types. Vanilla is for men and chocolate for women. The basic ingredients are the same, they just contain different herbs
