One Year later, I still love this washer!

Cons: Expensive, must use HE soap
The Bottom Line: I highly recommend this washer. It is a good value and does a fantastic job. Very quiet and energy efficient. Can't go wrong!

I stressed over choosing appliances for our new home because I had read so many reviews of appliances where people paid good money for an appliance that turned out to be terrible. So I came to epinions and did as much research as I could before I bought.
What I learned from researching was that the most advertised appliances that I tended to lean toward purchasing had terrible reviews.
So we went shopping and talked to sales people at many different stores to see what was available. We were most impressed by the knowledge of the salesman at Sears and the Kenmore appliances really stood out to us. Plus I had been happy with Kenmore in the past.
We looked at the whole line of Kenmore Elite and decided on this washer- the HE3t. This was just over a year ago, and at that point the steam washers had just come out and we decided not to go with the steam washer. We chose this model, which was not the newest, largest or top of the line- because it was good balance of price vs. features. We wanted it to fit a king size comforter, but didn't need all the functions of the newer models.
For the price and function, we think was the best value and we couldn't justify the price of the newer models.
One year later, we are extremely happy with our purchase. This washer does a great job! I came from a rental with an old-fashioned top loader and each week as I did our laundry, I noticed our clothes looking cleaner and less dingy- especially the whites.
There are many functions on this machine, including a sanitary setting which heats up the water even more to sanitize the load. I don't use that much, but it comes in handy when I need it.
I highly recommend this washer. We've had great results and no problems.
