I noticed that the Kicker IK500 was already a category here for a while, but not the ZK500 (the Zune version). Is there a link for it?
Personally, I didn't think my ZK500 reproduced the mid range very well. The highs are crisp as well as the bass, however. I'd suggest that they either look into the crossover (cheapest fix) or add a true mid-range speaker. Otherwise, rap and electronic dance music sounds excellent (trance, techno, etc), but not rock.

...I'm listening to Roy Orbison (It's Over) on my JBL amplified 30 GB iPod as I read this review. If I there is anything distressing with your review, Howard, it's the fact that you don't have an iPod. Between the wife and me, we have five. Not to mention three other MP3 players. Yeah, we dig our tunes.
Great review. The Kicker would be something I'd look at if not for the fact that we have a number of iPod playing devices.
Hey, now playing: Everybody Loves a Clown by Gary Lewis and Playboys. Get yourself an iPod, buddy. Hint: my last two iPod reviews paid for the iPods.
