arnold4321's Full Review: Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 2 Speakers
These speakers got very high marks from users at CNET. I can't quite make up my mind about them. The highs are spectacular -- better than anything I've heard from any speaker. The sub woofer is very good... I mean, I barely turn the dial past zero most of the time due to neighbor guilt. Mid-range, though, is lacking, making the speakers sound a little too much like what they are: computer speakers. Efforts to get better mid-range by adjusting my EQ only serve to further exhibit the limitations of the satellites in this area.
Still, I'm fairly happy with them. They make classical, acoustic and jazz sound spectacular. And vocals are downright spooky. I miss the mid-range when I listen to rock and pop, though.
My other complaint: Volume and sub controls are on the satellite, which makes perfect sense, but the power switch is behind the sub, so depending on where you put the sub, you might have to crawl under a table to turn the speakers on and off. Would it really have been that hard to put the power switch on the satellite?
