Real World Issues Exposed - Great (Reply to this comment)
by mrbios
You brought out a lot of issues that impact the use of the product in the real world rather than spend endless time over technical picture quality details that no one even notices.
I'm shopoing for my 2nd dig camera and your review really brought out the best and worst issues with the kodak. I am seriously leaning towards the "Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ4".
-I'm very detail oriented, thanks for taking the time, great review.

The joystick on this model is really annoying.
If you don't need 5MP resolution, you can check out the 4-Megapixel Panasonic FZ4, which is a much better camera overall. And if you can pay more, the 5-Megapixel Panasonic FZ5 is an excellent choice. Both have optical image stabilization.

I almost went for the cheap... (Reply to this comment)

There are some great prices about (w/extras included)for this camera. Maybe a newer model around the corner, eh?
Anyway, I was VERY interested in getting the Z740 and had totally failed to notice the menu 'joystick'. From the review pictures, I took it to be only a button. Thank goodness I read your review before ordering. Seems I was looking mostly at price. Thanks again! ;-)

Any chance you could review the Kodak P850 model ? (Reply to this comment)

Your reviews are great and I'd love it if you could review the: Kodak EasyShare 5.1-Megapixel Zoom Digital Camera, Model: P850. I'm thinking of purchasing this baby and would like to know your opinion on it 1st...

That's crazy . . . . . . (Reply to this comment)

to use such limited power source of only 2 AA batteries for this type of camera. It is fairly large and bulky as it is - why not go ahead and give it some real juice by using 4 AAs to provide really good flash range?
Good review, as always!
