ekafer's Full Review: Koss UR-20 Consumer Headphones
These are a great value (got them at buy.com for $12.68) for a decent set of headphones. I won't kid you trying to make you think I'm some sort of audiophile. Actually it's a new word for me, and I only learned of it this week shopping for headphones. After a thorough search (when it's time for me to buy something, even something as cheap as these, I leave no stone unturned in looking for the best quality at the best value), I determined that these phones would suit my needs.
I had looked at several options, starting at this cost and getting up to the $100 range, but I didn't want to spend a lot due to the fact that I do NOT have a discerning ear and had only been exposed to cheap headphones that are no name or low quality products. I thought any step up would be a great improvement. Little did I know that such a cheap pair of headphones could sound so good (to me, that is!). Best of all, they help to block out the sounds of my husband's Halo 2 games that are always going on!
On top of it all, the quick and free shipping (because I ordered 2, it brought my total to just over $25 = free budget shipping) that was supposed to take between 7-9 days took only 2! Yep, that's right - I ordered late on a Tuesday night, order was processed and then shipped late Wednesday, and I received both of them Friday afternoon. Needless to say, I was VERY pleased.
If you're looking for cheap but good headphones then don't pass these by. I can't compare them to higher end ones, but they're definitely much better than the cheap ones that come with many audio products.
