| skygirl's Full Review: Krups Crystal Arome Plus 467-71 |
Our Saturday and Sunday mornings always start out with the words in my title, concerning who is going to make the coffee. (I possibly left out a thing or two!)
Sparko has begged off sick at times, sweet talked me and offered to pay me large sums of money to get up and do it!! Now that we have the new "fancy" coffee maker neither of us have to worry about bribing the other to do it. Maybe that isn't a good thing, it has always been beneficial for me in alot of ways!!
As I have written about, we are building our weekend home on the Tennessee River. We have just completed the project and Friday night was the first night to sleep in it. I will have to write an updated review on this subject. We do love it though. We took our old Krups coffee maker to this residence and upgraded at home.
This brings me around to the subject--our new Krups coffee maker. I guess you have figured out by now that it has an automatic timer. It has the dual filter which prevents the water from having a funny aftertaste. It also has the automatic shut off feature for people that forget to turn it off.
I was impressed with the fact that you don't have to have a doctorate to operate it. It didn't come with an instruction book, but I found it very simple to set the clock and figure out the operational requirements.
It is great looking and very modern with the sleek design. The black adds a sophisticated touch. It is going to be a bit more expensive that your average coffee maker, but I don't have a problem spending the extra money for a quality product. ($100.00, If you want a comparison, we chunked the one I brought to the marriage! That should say it all since the women usually chunk the guys "bachelor equipment"!) Sparko had owned the first one for a few years and was really pleased with its performance. I'm sure that it will serve us for years to come at the weekend getaway.
Now if we could only get this breakfast cooking dilema worked out....hum.
