Ladysmom's Full Review: Laura Geller Balance - N - Brighten Medium
I must admit a little secret, I am a QVC addict. I don’t purchase a lot, but love to watch and make a mental wish list of all the things that I want. If I bought everything that they showed on-air, that I wanted, I would be living in a tent in a National Park. One of the things that I did purchase is the Laura Geller Balance-N-Brighten in Medium. I thought what the heck, how can a woman that actually looks like a real woman and is as cute as a bugs ear lead me wrong.
The Laura Geller Balance-N-Brighten in Medium is a baked makeup that starts out as a liquid and is baked in terracotta pots for 24 hours, which then turns it into a creamy solid. You may make the mistake of thinking this is just another pressed powder, but you are wrong. When you touch the makeup with your finger, you will find that it is creamier than a regular ho-hum pressed powder. When you see the makeup through the little window on the compact, you see swirls of beige, soft tan and yellow. The other half of the lid is a mirror.
The compact that the Laura Geller Balance-N-Brighten in Medium come in is quite large compared to a regular store brand. and with the dome of make up in the middle of the compact, you do get a lot more. .32 ounces. Most pressed powders are dusty when you use them. After running your brush once or twice over the brand X product, you have powder dust all over the bathroom and on your clothing. Not a pretty way to start your day. T
The Laura Geller Balance-N-Brighten in Medium is a nice product to build with. It all depends on the mood I’m in and how hot the weather is on how much I use. If I’m going to work and have a huge clinic, I have to use more because I am well know form rubbing my face especially when I have a very difficult patient. You know the kind, they want both of your kidneys and still won’t be happy.
I don’t have to touch up my make up, but there are times I want to touch up my Laura Geller Balance-N-Brighten in Medium. It’s so easy with the Balance-N-Brighten. I throw it in my purse along with the brush that closes and off I go. Just a second to open the compact and apply a little more.
The Laura Geller Balance-N-Brighten in Medium can be worn alone as it is a foundation, but you can also use it over your liquid foundation. I do it both ways. Just depends on if I got up at a reasonable time to go to work or early enough to grab a cup of coffee, get dressed and out the door. It isn’t hard to come up with an outfit when you wear scrubs.
I find that the Laura Geller Balance-N-Brighten in Medium does even out my skin tone and makes my skin look smoother and not dried out like a regular pressed powder does. I have excessively dry skin and this is a godsend. It seems to sit on top of the skin and doesn’t get caked into pores or lines.
When cleaning your face, the Laura Geller Balance-N-Brighten in Medium does come off easily and you don’t have to worry about any residue being left behind and if you happen to fall asleep while you are wearing Laura’s makeup, you will find that it doesn’t cause irritation to the skin. Your skin feels great all the time. Not dried out.
Laura Geller products are allergy free and the best of all, they aren’t tested on our little furry friends. You can find Laura Geller products on QVC, Sephora, Beauty.com. Just about anywhere fine makeup is sold. Just give her a try and you will be hooked.
Oops, gotta run, the UPS man is here and he has my newest order from Laura.
