Little Tikes Table & Chairs...Perfect for any toddler!

We purchased our Little Tikes Table & Chairs after I saw my youngest son was getting fed up with trying to do his puzzles on the floor, only to have the dog come over and walk on top of his masterpiece. So one day at wal-mart, I came across this set. I have always came across the cottage table & chair set, but that was more geared towards girls. This set is geared towards either sex.
After coming home, I figured I was going to need some tools and what-nots to put the table and chairs together. Nothing seems to come assembled for you these days. Much to my surprise, I didn't need any tools or any degrees in engineering to assemble the table. Yes just the table needed to be put together. The chairs are already in one piece. And the only assembly the table needed was just to line up the 4 legs of the table and snap them into place on the bottom of the table top.
Around the outside of the table top, you can attach a sticker that has a few designs on it. The sticker is in one strip, and I was able to put the sticker on and have it look pretty even by the time I was done. You don't need to add this sticker if you don't want to. It's just there for design.
The Little Tikes Tables & Chairs is pretty colorful and it can be for a boy or a girl. The table top is white and the legs of the table are blue. The 2 chairs that come with the set are yellow. The table top is very easy to rid of crayon and pencil, if your child happens to color outside the lines like my son is famous for. Just a little soap and water, and your table top looks like new. The table is 19 inches high, and measures 21.5 inches by 21.5 inches.
The chairs are about 18 inches high. And the part that you sit on is about 12 inches off the ground. They are the perfect height for a toddler to sit on, but may be too small for a child older than 6 to sit on. My only gripe with the chairs is that they do not have anything on the bottom of the chairs to prevent it from sliding across your kitchen floor, or any other floor that does not have carpet. But there is a solution to this. On the bottom of the chairs, there is a hole with a plastic plug over it. If you remove the plug, and fill the bottom of the chair up with sand, the sand helps to weigh it down, and you no longer have to worry about your toddler falling on his rear because the chair slid out from under him.
The table set will seat 2 children comfortably at the table. If you need more than 2 chairs, they can be ordered, or you can use any other plastic toddler chairs that you come across. I have had 4 kids sitting at our table already, and they didn't have much elbow room. I think you are better off just sitting 3 or less children at the table.
The Little Tikes Table & Chairs is made of heavy durable plastic that Little Tikes is so famous for. There is no metal on it that will rust if you happen to use the set as an outdoor set. We had our set out back when we were hit with 13 inches of rain earlier in the month. The water didn't do any damage to our set, and the only thing I had to do after it was in the flood was just give it a good washing and it was good to go.
I would highly recommend the Little Tikes Table & Chairs for any boy or girl ages 2 - 6. I think children between the ages of 3 - 5 will get the most use out of it. It will hold up through many hours and many years of use.
