Cons: Seems to get darker over time, can sit in facial lines
The Bottom Line: I highly recommend this product to everyone; its definitely worth a try if youre not happy with your current foundation, or are looking to try something a bit different.

I have always struggled to find a foundation that actually matches my skin; having pale skin with yellow Asian undertones and redness on my cheeks seems to be my downfall I think. Ive lost count of how much I have spent at the Clinique and Benefit counters over the last couple of years, all to no avail - it seems that not one of the counter assistants is able to match me up! Finally, fed up with spending nearly £20 a time for foundations that looked awful under different lighting, I thought I would try LOreals product after reading the reviews on Epinions. All I can say is that Im glad I did!
Before buying the product, I had a quick look online at the website. For some reason, the European section of LOrealparis.com doesnt have the foundation guide, so I looked on the USA site instead - I fully recommend doing this before you buy, as its very informative! It suggested that I try W1, the lightest of the "Warm" tones. Having never known whether I was a "warm" or "cool" before, this was quite useful to know. So, I went down to the pharmacy and picked up the colour (I would have tried the tester but someone had stolen it...dont you hate it when that happens?).
I applied the foundation with a brush (I tend to find that using my fingers makes the coverage a little uneven, and sponges seem to soak up all the product...with a brush you can really work it into your face and get the coverage perfectly even), and right away it looked so much better than any of the other foundations I have used. The foundation is very runny coming out of the bottle (luckily it comes in a pump-bottle, which is handy as I only need one squirt to do my face), but dries reasonably quickly into a slightly powdery finish. This alarmed me a bit, as I have combination dry skin and it can get a bit dry in places with too much powder; luckily though, I have found that the product will last me pretty much all day with no retouching while Im at work, and doesnt dry my face at all (I do use a dab of moisturiser underneath as well). I was very happy, as its the first product that I actually thought gave me near-flawless skin that didnt make me look like a zombie under natural lighting! The coverage is moderate - I still use a little colour correction on the reddest part of my cheeks and a little concealer under my eyes, but its evened out the rest of my very uneven complexion very well indeed.
There are only two downsides to this product that I can think of; the fact that it seemed to get darker over time on me, and the fact that it seems to have made my facial lines a little more pronounced after a while (price isnt an issue - Im just glad to get away from the expensive boutique makeups!). The change in colour was very slight, but I did notice that it looked marginally darker after a few hours. Perhaps its just me, but it may be worth considering if you chose a colour thats to the darker end of your skins spectrum. Im only 25 and just starting to notice fine lines; this seemed to make them more obvious to my scrutinising eye after a few hours, presumably after it had some time to settle into them. They werent glaringly obvious, but again, this might be worth considering if you have deeper lines on your face.
I highly recommend this product to everyone; its definitely worth a try if youre not happy with your current foundation, or are looking to try something a bit different.
