Occasionally toys are more of a hit than I anticipate. Such is true for the BRATZ FM Cruiser. This vehicle far exceeds features on any other car that my daughter has for Barbie type of doll play. The horn beeps, the lights (headlights & taillights) work, the doors and trunk open and close, and the FM radio really works. In fact the radio adjusts to the station of choice, has good reception, and volume control. Although this cruiser requires 5 ‘AAA’ batteries, thus far longevity seems to be good. My 7-year-old adores playtime with the BRATZ FM Cruiser, contributing to the fact that I recommend this toy. So far the durability is excellent and this car continues to be attention grasping. There are many pros, but only a couple cons; the stickers come off easy and certain BRATZ shoes are slightly large to comfortably fit the dolls into the vehicle. Overall this toy is worth the purchase price of approximately $32.

The metallic-powder-blue BRATZ FM Cruiser measures approximately 17” from bumper to bumper and is approximately 7” wide. Attention to detail on this cruiser is superb, offering much chrome-like enhancement, and plenty of features. Interior is mostly black, with chrome-like accents. The doors, trunk, and glove box open and close. The gearshift and steering wheel actually moves, adding to realistic drive time fun. The lights work, as does the horn.
This set includes two black fur-like seat covers, that snuggly fit onto the seats. Two functioning seatbelts inspire safe driving/riding. In between the two seats there are three mock speakers, and two drink holders. The steering wheel cover was slightly difficult to put on, but this assures a snug fit, allowing it to stay on. The rearview mirror works, and provides the perfect place for hanging the mirrored Disco ball.
Along the dash there are realistic appearing gauges, heat vents, and such. The FM stereo WORKS, thus allowing for tunes of choice. The dash is where you find the switch for the lights and radio, also the scan and reset buttons for the radio. We were happily surprised at how good this works, and our daughter thinks this feature is really neat. Understandably, the knobs are small, making it slightly difficult for those with large hands to maneuver. But lets remember that this is a child toy, and thus far my daughter is able to adjust / manipulate all levers | knobs | buttons | features. However the cruiser looks so cool that Dad wants to play.
With a push of a button, the trunk opens. This is where you will find the battery access door (requiring 5 AAA’s prior to use). The trunk offers plenty of space for storing the accessories included with this set, along with additional items (if you so choose).
The sticker kit includes pink flames, and several stars. These can be placed where your child desires. Unfortunately these peel off easy, but probably could be glued on for a permanent approach.
Although most of the BRATZ fit into the seats with ease, some of the more bulky shoes are challenging to fit into the floorboard area. A simple solution is to remove the feet for the drive, tossing them into the trunk. This is comical, considering the BRATZ have shoe/foot configurations that when removed, leave a peg like nub. But this approach works, and makes the fit easier.
Overall I highly recommend this car, and feel it is worth the expenditure.
