Intro
When I saw this I thought of my little key chain LED that is really bright but was tired of having to change out the batteries from switch sliding and turning on the LED in my pocket. So I figured at the cost of more than eight dollars ($8.78 to be exact and that is before taxes) for 2 button cells type CR2032 that it was time to breakdown and get the NiteIze L.E.D. MagLite Upgrade Kit since it cost under nine dollars ($8.78 before taxes) it would provide better brightness than my Swiss made LED key chain light with a single LED on it.
Why NiteIze L.E.D. Upgrade Kit
The main reason why I bought this item is because I am tired of having to replace batteries every month or more often with the amount of use in a month about five to seven hours. I generally use the MagLite flashlight for ten plus hours a month normally.
Plus with being an ecosystem conservative and I believe in buying products that will last long if I can afford to do so. I like to use Green or Environmentally Friendly products when I can afford to do so that I may conserve electricity, and conserve fuel.
Quality of Light
The light is absolutely amazing since it does not have the yellowish hue that is associated with the average day flashlight bulbs, which can make it hard to read or see the ground as well; the white LED light is a clear crisp bright white mostly (sometimes there is a blueish hue to white hue) and is great for general purpose lighting.
Another fine aspect of this LED is that you do not lose the ability to adjust the light to your liking.
Where To Buy
The white LED Upgrade Kit is available to purchase at Wal*mart. As for the others you may find them online (i.e amazon.com) or at your finer Sports and Outdoors stores.
Would I Buy Again
Yes!!! At this point I feel 100% delighted with only having positive experiences of excellent bright shining light having one (1) LED.
Amount Of Time To Install
It takes about two (2) minutes or so to install the LED Kit since you have to take apart the top of the MagLite by unscrewing the top and then removing the light bulb after unscrewing the light housing followed by inserting the LED and screwing the housing again and screwing the top back on.
What Does "LED" Stand For
"LED" stands for Light Emitting Diode.
Final Thoughts
I am very happy with the MagLite Upgrade Flashlight Kit performance in my MagLite that uses 6 D batteries. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to save money on batteries and be Green (or also known as Environmentally Friendly) by not throwing away as many batteries as often.
So far the batteries in the 6 D Cell MagLite has lasted over one hundred hours and has saved me about ninety-nine dollars by not having to replace the 6 D Cell batteries. And I am delighted that it has saved me almost one hundred dollars.
