Pros: Friendly Staff, Huge Rooms, Good Atmosphere, Great Pool. Excellent Location. Wheelchair Friendly.
Cons: Problem at Check in with Reservation.
The Bottom Line: A great place to stay in a safe area and just far enough away from Broadway to be peaceful but not remote.

| dramatist's Full Review: Holiday Inn Midtown 57th St |
This hotel was a great find. Two blocks west of Broadway on W57th Street it was the ideal location for a wheelchair using theatre lover! All NYC busses are wheelchair accessible and 57th St is a major crosstown route. With busses stopping outside the hotel travelling around the city was easy. That said, Broadway and Times Square, Central Park and the Lincoln Centre are all within easy reach in an Electric Wheelchair.
Our stay started rather inauspiciously. Our room was not ready when we arrived at 4.00pm. Indeed, it seemed that they were doing some very fast re-shuffling to fulfil my booking made six months earlier. However, they gave us free cocktails while we waited and finally ushered us into what for NYC was a palace of a room.
Once installed, we found that the staff could not be more helpful. They explained the bus system to me and made sure that the room was exactly what I needed.
These were the best five nights I have ever spent in a major city with my wheelchair (and I've stayed in Paris, London and Edinburgh this year). Holiday Inn Midtown was what made this trip so special.
