I've always had problems with large pores and blackheads, yet at the same time have painfully dry skin. I remember being a kid and my face literally hurting ten minutes after I would wash it.
I had used Mary Kay's make-up for a few years before I decided to take the plunge and buy some of their skin care products. (Part of the reason was because a consultant told me you couldn't buy one skin care product without buying all of them, and I didn't want to buy everything. However, either they've changed their policies or I misunderstood, because I buy one product all the time now.)
I rarely use the toner and mask, because I've heard dermatologists say they don't do much other than make you feel good. But the creamy cleanser is perfect for me. I used to actually use Retin-A for acne. I don't know if I just "outgrew" the acne problems or what, but I stopped using it when I began using the creamy cleanser, and have never felt a need to use it again. Best of all, my face feels fresh and soft after using it, not tight or dried-out.
The one downside is that life would be easier if I could pick the cleanser up in a store around the corner. For some reason it is more of a bother to me to call a consultant than to just pluck something off the shelf. I always put it off until I am almost completely out. The last time I ordered, the consultant told me it would be another week before she placed another order, then it took over another week for it to come in and for her to get it to me. So I was without cleanser for almost three weeks. Yes, I guess that is partly my own fault, but I wouldn't have this problem if it was sold in stores.
