Thank God for Midol Maximum Strength Menstrual. I know I do, and I think my husband does even more so. :) When thinking about this product a few things come to mind. It gets rid of the demons (hahahaha), makes you feel better during "that" time of the month and keeps your husband from thinking a divorce would be a good thing. <G>
About the product
Midol Maximum Strength Menstrual is a special formula designed to alleviate symptoms some women experience during menstruation, such as cramps, bloating, water-weight gain, headaches, backaches, muscular aches and fatigue.
This product is intended for adults and children over the age of 12. Directions are to take 2 every 4 hours as needed up to a maximum of 8 in a 24 hour period.
Midol Maximum Strength Menstrual is available in both caplet and gelcap form, as well as packs of 16 or 24. Each pill contains the following active ingredients:
Acetaminophen 500 mg - this is to relieve headaches, backaches, muscle aches and cramping pain
Caffeine 60 mg - we know what caffeine is, right? A stimulant ~ this aids in helping us to not feel the fatigue as much.
Pyrilamine Maleate 15 mg - this is an antihistamine and what it does is help one to not retain water and bloat up as we may tend to do.
Okay, great, but does it really work?
I'm sitting here today typing this epinion out because it does, indeed work. Earlier today I was laying in bed with my heating pad, having the most terrible pains ever. I'm not a wimp, but something's up with my body and well... let's just say it isn't pretty this month. <S>
I had terrible back pain, really bad cramps, a headache and felt extremely tired. I took two Midol Maximum Strength Menstrual gelcaps and after about 90 minutes I felt fine and dandy. I mean totally okay, just like it was any other day.
It did take longer for these pills to take effect than I would have liked, but since my symptoms were pretty bad, I think it did just fine. =)
Cautions
Since this product contains caffeine, you should limit your caffeine intake while using it. Do not use for more than 10 days without consulting a doctor. And, as with any medication there are always going to be certain individuals who should not, under any circumstances take this medication. Always read the label and consult your physician if you have any questions or concerns.
Overall
I'm very thankful for Midol Maximum Strength Menstrual. It helps to keep me "human" during those days when otherwise I'd be out to hurt somebody for looking at my funny. =) It got rid of the terrible pain I was in and made it so I was not only able to take care of my 2.5 year old son, but I was also able to enjoy my day.
If, like me, from time to time your time of the month is more than you can handle, I'd encourage you to look into trying Midol Maximum Strength Menstrual. No reason to suffer if you don't have to, right?
