| skapalski's Full Review: Miracid Plant Food for Acid-Loving Plants |
I am a 36 year old father of two living in Dayton, Texas (which is about 35 miles northeast of Houston). I started using Miracid approximately 6 years ago, when I first bought my residence. Me and my wife had just gotten married and bought a house on three lots. There were only a couple of pine trees and some small plum trees on the property. I got to work. I cut down the plum trees and started making planting beds around the yard. I loved azaleas and bought about 30 one gallon plants. I planted them in a mixture of 1/2 soil, 1/4 sand and 1/4 peat moss. I mulched them with pine bark and watered. From then on, I fed my azaleas with the Miracid fertilizer about once every other month. You should see the azaleas now,,,They are HUGE...over 6 feet tall and so big now, I had to thin some out last year (I just replanted them in another area of my yard). The use of the fertilizer is simple. I use the hose attachment that came with the first Miracid I bought. Just open the attachment and empty the premeasured bag of Miracid into it. Fill with water, turn on the attachment and feed. I try to soak the plants good, all the leaves and stems.
Hint: Azaleas love acid, and love water, and love peat moss.
Good Luck
