Pros: Good price, room fairly clean, with the exception of a few bugs.
Cons: WAY too many bugs outside.
The Bottom Line: Okay for the price, which is quite good, but certainly not a luxury stay.

Me and my friends wanted to go camping at the Redwood forest, but it was going to take too long to get there, so we tried to look for a place to camp that night. The campgrounds were all full, so we decided that maybe we wanted to scrap that portion of the trip. I was driving to Washington as my ultimate destination, so I left the coast and started to head north on Interstate 5. It was getting late, so we stopped at Williams.
Initial Impressions
The Motel 6 at Williams had a good price. $39.99 for one adult (it came up to $44.43 for me and my kids to stay with tax). I noticed in the lobby that there were a lot of dead bugs around, but I was tired and the price was right. Besides, I had been planning on going camping, and there are plenty of bugs in the wild. My stay was in late June. I'm unsure if that many bugs would be located around the hotel year-round.
Although the outside of the hotel was very buggy (I actually breathed in a bug while bringing my stuff up to my room, which I didn’t chase with a spider like the old woman in the song, but I did want to hurl), I was pleasantly surprised when I got in the room. The first thing I did when I got to the hotel was check for bedbugs. I had heard that even nice hotels can get them, and I wanted to make sure that the room was at least bedbug free. No signs of bedbugs, which was good. My room had a lot fewer bugs than the outside.
Cleanliness
I would give the cleanliness of the room a B. Everything seemed to be clean enough, but some of the facilities in the shower were looking a little old and stained. There were a few of the bugs that were so prevalent outside, but I’ll give them a separate grade for that, of C. Considering the sheer amount of bugs that were outside, I was very surprised at how they were able to keep them out of the room. The air conditioning worked great, although coming from Phoenix, we found it to be a little cold, so that was the first thing we turned off. Wi-fi was available, but required you to pay $2.99 if you wanted it. I’ve been to more expensive hotels that charged $15 for wi-fi, so I thought it was reasonable, but it was not something I needed, so I passed on paying for it. Additionally, my iPod would have had trouble hooking up to the Wi-fi network because you have to enter a password through a web browser.
Amenities
The Motel 6 in Williams had basic amenities. There were a few television channels, some individually-wrapped plastic cups to put water in, and an ice bucket. There was an ice machine located in the lobby. There were enough towels for my toddler, daughter, and myself, but we didn't really have any extras. There were also some soaps available.
There is an outdoor pool that looked clean enough, that closes at night. If I had some extra time to stay here, I might try it out. While the Motel 6 at Williams is not a destination hotel, it is adequate if you need a place to sleep for the night while traveling down Interstate 5. However, if you are phobic of bugs, you might want to pass.
