My husband just bought me this phone for Christmas. Two years ago he purchased me my first cell phone because I felt I had to have one. I just assumed they were all basically the same since I had never owned one before. I trusted that my husband would choose a good quality and he did. After I had this phone for a few months I realized what I hated about it...it was huge. I couldn't carry it in my smaller purses and therefore, hardly ever took it anywhere with me. It was just too cumbersome to lug around.
So, this Christmas I received my StarTac. I love it. I've used it more in the last 3 weeks than I used my other phone in a year. It's so convenient to carry. I can put it in my purse, on my car visor, attach it to my belt, whatever...it's wonderful. I never have a problem leaving it at home now.
Of course, I've only owned it for three weeks, but I have used it quite a bit and I have yet to have any sound or connection problems. So far, everything technically has been just fine.
When I first received the phone, I read through the directions and tried to determine which features I would need to set it up for my own personal use. They seemed fairly easy to use and I had no problem understanding. It was nice not to have to study the directions for days before figuring out how to use to phone.
Here's the thing...what I love about the phone is what other people may hate about it. It's perfect for me, small and compact. For others, it may be too small. The buttons are tiny which would probably make it difficult for someone with large hands to use. It might even be difficult for most men to hold it properly when in use.
So far, I'm very happy with my phone. I haven't had one problem with it and like I've said previously, the size is what was really important to me. If you're looking for a compact cell phone, then this is wonderful unless you have especially large hands.
It all comes down to what you're looking for in a cell phone. Luckily, I found it!
