Oreo Cakesters are darn great - It's true, It's true!

Everyone loves milk's favorite cookie, the Oreo. Well, maybe not everyone, but I sure as heck do! I've always loved dippin' and dunkin' them in a cold glass of milk. So when I first heard about Oreo Cakesters, I was thrilled about trying them for the first time. I'm a big fan of small junk-food snack cakes such as Ding-Dongs and Oatmeal Cream Pies, so I knew that these Oreo Cakesters would be right up my alley!
These soft little cakes bear a slight resemblance to Oreo cookies, but once you take a closer look at them, you'll spot some differences. For example, they don't have "Oreo" written into the chocolate part. They also have a very different texture. Oreo cookies are crunchy and munchy, whereas when you sink your teeth into the Cakesters, you'll think you have eaten a fluffy cloud of chocolaty goodness! These are so soft and fluffy that you can see your own thumbprint in them! They are about the same size as the cookies, so that means they're easy to carry around. Lots of snack cakes are a big mess, even though they may taste magnificent. Unlike Oreo cookies, these stay intact when bitten into, so they make for a great on-the-go snack. I don't know if it's just my imagination, but it seems like these don't have as much icing between them as the cookies do. Whatever the case, they taste great!
In fact, these are dangerously good. Oreo Cakesters can be found almost everywhere you go these days, and that means I'll be packing on a few extra calories in the time these are still available!

Yeah, my eyes popped out of my head too when I saw how much sodium is packed in these cakes! That's why it's important to limit them. However, it can be tough not to reach for a few more, especially when you have bought a larger size pack. Thankfully, it's easy to find the 3-pack of these Cakesters near the registers of many stores. But before you snag a pack or two, it's always good to make sure some mischievous little kids haven't smashed and squashed them to a pancake! I'm not sure as to what the largest quantity these Cakesters are sold in, but I usually end up buying the 3-pack. They are fairly cheap, which makes it tempting to buy a few more!

In comparison to other soft snack cakes, Oreo Cakesters are superior. I have yet to try chocolaty snack cakes that taste this great and don't make a big mess. Again, they're really addicting, so try your best to keep control of how many you eat! So what are you waiting for? Grab some Oreo cakesters next time you head out - just don't gobble down too many!
