| st3rlite's Full Review: Neutrogena Moisture SPF 15 |
Recommended by Acne.org
I'm in my early twenties and still suffering from sensitive acneprone skin. Having tried a whole range of treatments and creams, lotions and potions, I one day stumbled across acne.org which prescribed a daily regimen which included a basic spf moisturizer. One of which was Neutrogena Moisture SPF 15.
Being the only one available in my part of the world, I decided to buy one and give it a try.
What the package says
facial moisturizer with UVA/UVB sun protection.
Non-Comedogenic. Dermatologist Recommended.
Neutrogena Oil-Free Moisture® SPF 15 is clinically proven to combine long-lasting moisturization with effective sun protection for softer, smoother, younger-looking skin.
All-day moisturization. Lightweight, non-greasy lotion keeps skin moisturized for 12 hours.
Effective sun protection. Broad-spectrum UVA/UVB SPF 15 sunscreens help prevent premature signs of aging caused by everyday exposure to sun's damaging rays.
Won't clog pores. Oil-free formula absorbs quickly and won't clog pores, which can cause breakouts.
Ingredients
Active Ingredients: Octinoxate 7.5%, Octisalate 5%, Oxybenzone 3%
Inactive Ingredients: Water, Octyldodecyl Neopentanotate, Glycerin, Emulsifying Wax NF, Glyceryl Stearate, PEG 100 Stearate, Dimethicone, Triethanolamine, Diazolidinyl Urea, Methylparaben, Ethylparaben, Propylparaben, Carbomer
Features
The thing that drew me to this was that it was dermatologist recommended, recommended also by acne sufferers, non-comedogenic meaning no bad pore clogging ingredients, fragrance free and hypo allergenic which is just what I need for my sensitive skin.
And as an added bonus this moisturizer contains SPF 15 which although isnt all that much, is better than none at all and is enough for daily wear in the sun.
So what's it like
The moisturizer is a nice smooth light weight moisturizer. It leaves the face a little shiney on the surface but doesn't feel sticky or greasy. (Nothing a little powder can't fix).
My only gripe about it is that sometimes for my sensitive skin and overuse of acne products, the moisturizer isn't all that moisturizing.
But for normal skins or people who don't use drying acne creams, it would be more than adequate.
Final Thoughts
This is the first and only moisturizer that I've actually used up completely and repurchased. It is very affordable, does not cause breakouts or further pore clogging, does its job at moisturizing sufficiently for day time wear, and best of all doesn't irritate my sensitive skin.
Now all I need is to find the perfect equivalent night time cream....!
