Well it is almost winter time and I have been searching for something to extend my tan a little longer. Self-tanners just don't look natural on me, and bronzers don't show up.
After hearing about Nivea Silky Shimmer Lotion I saw it at Walgreens one day. I wanted to try it so I purchased a bottle for about $7.
About the Product
Nivea Silky Shimmer Lotion comes in a 6.8 oz. bottle. The bottle is white with gold iridescence, tall, flat, square, with a flip top cap. It probably would not fit in most purses but would easily fit in a tote bag or beach bag.

My Experience
Let me begin by saying that all of the claims were true!
I applied the lotion all over the day after I bought it. My skin really did feel softer. This works as well at moisturizing as any other regular body lotion I use.
This lotion also gave me a beautiful golden shimmer. I would describe this lotion as tiny bits of shimmer in a gold base. The lotion was bright and pale before I smoothed it on so I was a little worried. I didn't want to glow in the dark! But once I began to smooth it out on my skin, it instantly became a soft golden color with a nice shimmery effect.
My tan was more noticeable to! I wanted something to make it stand out more before winter arrived and this did the job.
The fragrance is very nice. I don't know how to describe it. It's light and clean. I would not worry about it clashing with any other fragrance you are wearing.
You must wash your hands after applying this lotion. It collects in the lines of your palms and just doesn't look good. Also, be careful when using because if it gets on your clothing, it will show up.
