| molly143's Full Review: Nokia 6185 Cell Phone |
First off, when beginning my employment with a new and exciting digital PCS company, I was given a large choice in the phones I could use for work. My choices were between the Nokia 5170, Nokia 6185, the Motorola StarTac, and the LGP-2300. Having started out with the Nokia 5170 before I got the job, I wanted to stick with what I knew, but also wanted the best phone I could afford. I decided to upgrade to the 6185.
I was thrilled with the convenience. My favorite feature would be the customized ring tones. A simple concept brings even more ease to the idea of caller ID. You can assign separate ringing sounds to different people in your phone book, you then know who is calling without even looking at your phone. It's great for separating business and personal calls.
Another feature I enjoy is the seperate "send" and "end" buttons. One doesn't fully appreciate this until they have used a phone with a single button for the send and end functions. This can get very irritating. This phone is also equipped with a calculator and calendar feature. The calendar allows you to, for instance, note the date of someone's birthday, and set an alarm that day to remind you to call and wish him/her a happy birthday. Oh, and who could forget the games! This phones has four games- memory, dice, logic, and my favorite, snake. These are great in the bank line :).
Aside from ease of operating, there were technical aspects that drew me to this phone. The reception and clarity are beautiful, and there is an amazing range of accessories available for this model.Just to name a few, there are faceplates, lighting antennas, hands-free kits, and external antennas for even better reception. You also have twice the name storage capability, excellent for the busy person with lots of contacts. In the 5170, you can store 100, and this phone holds 200. It can send and receive text and voice messages, and has easy one-touch dialing features.
Well, I could go on and on, seeing as how I deal with and sell this phone just about daily, but I guess that's about it. Hopefully you look into this phone further, and I have been some assistance. THANKS!
