| ewwife's Full Review: Olay Daily Facials |
Okay….I was kind of nervous trying these Olay Daily Facial Cleansing Cloths since my life long make up friend was disappointed. (for those of you that don’t know who I am speaking of its SHANTEL575. We’ve been friends since first grade hee hee.)
Okay back to Olay. The only reason that I purchased these was because I got a free coupon in the mail to try a box of 30. I couldn’t resist on trying them when they were for free. So I got them at my weekly grocery visit, and was shocked to find out that they cost almost $6.00 a box and that was at the Commissary (military grocery store).
What are Cleansing Cloths?
Olay Daily Facials are white clothes folded up into squares. They come in a clear plastic container. They aren’t moist in the container you have to moisten them. I will teach you how to use shortly. There are a two sides to the cloths. One side is softer for removing eye make up. Where as the other is kind of textured for exfoliating the skin.
These cloths come in a 30 pack. You can also buy them in refill sizes from 30 and 60 count.
How to use the cloths
These cloths come folded up very neatly and are dry. You unfold the cloth and moisten. Then you lather the cloth in your hands to get it sudsy. Once you have it all lathered up then you clean your face. Using the soft side for your eyes and the textured for your face in a circular motion. After cleansing your face they suggest that you rinse your face using the cloth. So what I did to make it sound more reasonable is rinsed the cloth out really good and then used it to splash the water onto my face. You certainly don’t have to use the cloth to rinse but Olay claims that you receive better results when rinsing with the cloth. Then you dispose of the cloth. They are only one time use!
What do these cloths do for you?
Olay claims that these cloths will improve your skins condition over a period of time. They remove the dirt, oil, and make up from your skin. I can tell you that with my experience they did remove all the mascara from my eyes. There wasn’t a trace of it on my skin. Olay says that they also gently exfoliate and smooth the skin’s textures beyond basic cleansing with other soaps.
What is in Olay Daily Facials?
Each cloth is saturated in light moisturizers and Pro-Vitamin B5 to condition, firm, revitalize your skin.
Ingredients:
PEG-100, Sucrose Polycottonseedate, Cocmidopropyl Betaine, Sodium Lauroyl Sarcosinate, Decyl Glucoside, C10-30 Cholesterol/Lanosterol Esters, Cyclodextrin, Petrolatum Polyethylene, Butylene Glycol, Tribehenin, PEG-14M, Synthetic Beeswax, Fragrance, Polyquaternium-10, Tocopheryl Acetate, Panthenol, Phenoxyethanol, Benzyl Alcohol, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Disodium EDTA, Menthol.
Where and what types of the cloths can you buy?
You can buy Olay Facial Cloths anywhere from Walmart, Target, Grocery stores, etc.
They come in a variety of types for every ones skin types.
I purchased the Normal to Oily
They have Normal to Dry and Oily to Dry as well.
As I mentioned before you can buy the refill packs so that you don’t have to purchase the container each time. Which saves you a little bit of money from month to month. If you break it down to use them only once a day you figure you are spending about $.20 a day to clean your face with the Facials.
What I liked best about them!
I liked the fact that I didn’t have to wash the cloth. I could just throw it away. Although it seems like a waste. My face felt very clean and I did not have any make up residue left over. I felt that my skin was smoother and did feel somewhat exfoliated. Now it wasn’t like a real exfoliating treatment, but I can say my face feels smoother. I didn’t care for the scent to much. But I really don’t like the scent of Oil of Olay either. (smile)
I think that you should give them a try and decide for yourself if your skin can tolerate them.
If you can’t see spending a fortune on the 30 that you may never use again then go to www.olay.com and request a free sample.
