Lets face it, there is only a few things that can hurt as bad or as intense as the pain one has when they have a bad tooth.
The pain seems to resonate inside the jaw triggering other teeth and even sinuses to start joining in with the rhythmic throbbing.
While I really hate the discomfort of dental pain and discomfort I don’t always have the luxury of being medicated by pills for this as I await my dentist to work me in.
Recently I had the undesirable privilege of breaking a tooth, and the pain was intense to say the least. Instead of reaching for the ibuprofen to ease the pain as I waited the two days to see my dentist, I reached for the maximum strength Orajel. The adult version of the pain medication I used on my children was now easing the pain that had me almost sick at my stomach.
The 20-percent Benzocaine that is in the orajel speeds relief to your throbbing tooth and gums. It also can be used for discomfort from new partials or plates as my mother found out a few years ago when she had to be fitted for a new upper denture.
