This is a beautiful spatula. It is stainless steel with black rubber on the sides of the handle. If you have a stainless steel theme in your kitchen then this spatula displayed would fit right in. And not only beautiful but well designed, comfortable, and usable.
How it works
Um, it’s a spatula. You use the paddle to flip food over on the grill or food on a metal pan.
What do I use it for
I mainly use it for my Kirkland pans. I have another spatula that I use for the grill but if that is dirty or MIA then I will use this instead. I really have no qualms about using this for the grill but I generally like a bigger and longer spatula.
Features
It has a comfortable grip like most OXO products do. At the handle end there is a hole so you can hang it if you wish. The paddle has 4 long holes in it, it is not a solid piece of metal.
What type of pans can I use it on?
Teflon is out, it will get scratched. This is designed for metal pans or your outdoor grill.
Ergonomics
The handle is very comfortable. This handle is wider that it is tall so your hand fits well. The handle is also skinnier where your fingers grab and fatter where your palm is. This also makes it more comfortable because you do not have to grasp it as hard. In addition, the black rubber on the sides help with grip and comfort.
The paddle hardly has any give so you do not have to worry about lifting food and having it fall off the paddle.
Who is this for?
Anyone that has non-Teflon pans. You will be hard pressed to find a better all around spatula. It is skinny enough that it will not get in the way while using a small pan.
If you want something for the grill then I recommend a wider spatula instead, but that would be determined by personal preference.
Cleaning
It is easy to clean. You can just use a sponge and soap if you want to do it right. I am lazy and just throw it in the dishwasher. So far the dishwasher hasn’t damaged it.
Durability
Durability should be really good. 6 months really isn’t an indicator but I expect it to last for a decade or so, as long as I take care of it. I have no concerns about the design.
The handle of some of my other OXO tools has started to come off. These handles are completely made out of rubber. This tool is made out of stainless steel with rubber on the surface so I cannot see how this could be an issue.

Summary
This is a great all around spatula. It is very comfortable and durable. It is made out of beautiful stainless steel and can easily be hung in the kitchen. If you like a wider paddle then you may want to skip this tool. If you want something that fits easily in a small sauté pan then this is what you want. This is a versatile spatula. I am very happy with this purchase.
